He's definitely made himself a few haters (ah, yes, the Internet is full of those). But as succesful as his project may seem, not everyone likes what he is doing. It didn't take too long before he got his first donation, and after only 15 days, he has succesfully been able to break the $1000 mark (he needs about $2,400)! I was mildly jealous at first, but then I remembered that the 2 Macs that I have, I received through donations as well (albeit, all the money came from one person - my generous father). So he put up a "help me become a switcher" blog asking people to donate so that he could get a 20-inch Intel iMac and eventually free himself from his Pentium II 500MHz ThinkPad (wow, I had one of those BACK IN THE LATE 90s!). But like many college students from all over the world, Stefan does not have the needed funds to succeed in this endeavor.
